Detailed Itinerary
1️⃣ Sapa Town – Departure (8:30 AM)
Meet your guide at your hotel or the designated meeting point in Sapa town.
Receive a short briefing about the route, safety, and the local cultures you will encounter.
Start walking downhill along small paths with panoramic views of Muong Hoa Valley.
2️⃣ Lao Chai Village – Black H’mong Culture
Arrive at Lao Chai, a traditional Black H’mong village famous for its rice terraces and indigo-dyed clothes.
Visit a local family to learn about their traditional houses, customs, and textile weaving.
Enjoy a short break to take photos and chat with villagers.
3️⃣ Ta Van Village – Home of the Giay Ethnic Minority
Continue trekking along narrow trails through spectacular terraced fields and bamboo forests.
Reach Ta Van, a charming village of the Giay people.
Visit a small community school and see how different ethnic groups live side by side.
Optional: Enjoy a simple tea break at a homestay overlooking the valley.
4️⃣ Lunch in Ta Van (12:30 – 1:30 PM)
5️⃣ Trek to Ban Ho Village – Tay Ethnic Culture
Cross a suspension bridge over the river and walk deeper into remote valleys.
Arrive at Ban Ho, inhabited by the Tay people, known for their stilt houses and lush scenery.
Explore traditional wooden houses and learn about Tay customs.
Optional: Dip your feet in the nearby stream or visit a small waterfall.
6️⃣ Return to Sapa (Approx. 4:30 – 5:00 PM)
Your vehicle will pick you up in Ban Ho village.
Drive back to Sapa town (about 45 minutes).
Drop off at your hotel or the town center.

✅ Important Notes – Please Read Before Booking:
- This trek involves 7–8 hours of walking (15–18 km), mainly downhill from Sapa to Ban Ho.
- Trails can be slippery or muddy after rain. Good hiking shoes are strongly recommended.
- Some sections include uneven stone steps and narrow dirt paths crossing rice terraces.
- Basic fitness and the ability to walk for several hours without difficulty are required.
- Bring sunscreen, a hat, a refillable water bottle, and a light rain jacket (weather can change quickly).
- Solo travelers should contact us in advance to confirm availability.
✅ Terrain Summary:
Sapa Town ➡ Lao Chai ➡ Ta Van ➡ Ban Ho:
- Mostly downhill, with occasional steps or gentle slopes.
- Overall descending terrain, but the long distance can still be tiring.
- From Ta Van to Ban Ho is relatively flat and easier to walk.
Return: By car transfer back to Sapa.
